Which method do you use to create a square?
Just curious to get some different opinions here.
When it comes to setting out a square (out on site), which method do you use?
1: Measuring diagonals until they're the same and cross referencing all measurements until a square is formed, or
2: A squared + B squared = C squared
or another method?
I've been taught to use the diagonals approach which is fine, however it seems as if a quick calculation and I can find the exact diagonal number straight off and not have to check and recheck the measurements (ie method 2). What's the consensus?
