    Post Hardiflex or harditex

    Hi All,

I'm planning on re-cladding (external) a timber framed shed with either Hardiflex or Harditex sheeting. I'm not sure whether or not the Hardiflex (6mm) will cope with frequent collisions with a soccer ball and thus I'm looking at the Harditex (7.5mm).

Harditex is marketed as a base for a textured coat finish but what does it look like if a textured finish is NOT applied and if so, what about the appearance of joints?

I think you would damage hardiflex with a socker ball if it was hit with good force between the studs. Joints either need to be covered with a trim or the special plastic joiners strips ... or taped and rendered like a plaster joint.

Not sure how the thick product would perform. There is a fair bit of force behind a soccer ball.
