Top of the morning to you all
New to the forum, and woodworking, and will no doubt have an endless stream of questions and pleas for help.
I have a quick one to start. I have some old Jarra timber from an old pergola that I would like to make into a side cabinet.
The timber is about 50mm thick. What is the minimum thickness I should resaw it to to reduce weight and get the most out of the timber?
Thanks and have a great day!

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum..
There are quite a stack members around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
