    Default How to polish brass?

    Hello, I want to make a highly polished brass button about 30mm diameter. Can anyone please advise on the best way to do this?
    is it possible to do it in a way that it doesn't tarnish in future, like the SmartHinge and other highly polished brass hardware that you can buy?

    The highly polished stuff will have a varnish coating on it - Wattyl Incralac is what you can get in the shops. Supercheap Auto have - Cleaning & Polishing Set - 3 Piece - Supercheap Auto Australia to fit a drill.
