Is moderation here biased?
I constantly get my posts moderated. In particular anything leaning slightly to the left. I am wondering if this forum is biased towards right wing politics? I just noticed that a post I made to the David Hicks thread was removed with no notice at all, no explanation, nothing. While some quite nasty right leaning posts are still there. Has anyone else noticed biased moderation in these forums?

Rather than whinge about it, look at the other forums on the net, there are plenty, join one of them, see how far you get.

I lock horns with the mods here as often as anyone. I don't always agree with the way things are run, and say so. I call a spade a ????ing shovel and wear the consequences.
NEVER NEVER NEVER have I had the slightest thought that in ANY way the moderation is biased in ANY way.Boring signature time again!

I haven't noticed any political bias in the moderation especially not in the David Hicks debate.
If your post has been removed then it must have been in breach of the forum rules, and if so they don't need to give you notice or an explanation for you should know the rules.

The moderation here is very mild.. What you may have had happened (It happens to me all the time) is a time out. If you spend too long composing your post it will sometime disappear into cyberspace
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Sometimes we make the mistake of noticing the posts the idiots with opposing view have, as opposed to the sensible ones on our side of the arguement. I haven't noticed any bias, and if posts have been moderated there has probably been something that has caught the mods eye, and as with everything subjective judgement can be allusive in the eye of the editee when their heart felt opinion has been edited by the editor. Defamatory or libelous comments can unintentionally appear in the heat of the arguement and a bit of careful editing is good for the soul and to keep the blood pressure down on more sensitive comments.

G'day Shaun,
Not having a go, but in the light of your last post (6 choices etc) there might be a keyboard or typing problem that is causing your trouble.
Just a thought.........
And, I love testing the moderation system.......I started a drivel "nitey nite" post after all the poll on drivel posts...it took 1 hour 17 minutes before it was closed.
Which gives me a warm fuzzy feeling..that the moderators are doing their job......without bias I think
