It's the small details that can do your head in
G'day
I've just ripped all my CDs to 'puta, and am now cataloguing them. Reasonably straightforward, but detailed.
However, I have a conundrum to solve. At least some of you will remember an 80s UK band called The The (I guess they got sick of trying to think up something unusual to follow "The").
This particular band is proving problematic to fit into my cataloguing conventions. You see, I have dropped all references to "The" in band names, so instead of having
The Corrs or
Corrs, The
I just have Corrs
So which "The" should I drop for this band? First? Second? Perhaps both of them and just have a blank (which is technically what my convention demands)?
I could make an exception, and file them as
The, The
but which "The" should come first? By going back to that convention, surely it should become
The, The,
shouldn't it?
One wonders if they gave thought to the poor sods who have to do cataloguing!.....I'm starting to think they may have......
Please, I need your help before I lose any more sleep over this.....
