Hi All,
I've built and constructed 5 small (2.3m span) pitched roof trusses to cover my deck from the weather. I've used builders strapping to cross brace from the bottom of truss 1 up to the peak of truss 3 and then diagonally down to the bottom of truss 5, meaning that I now have a large X of strapping that spans all 5 trusses. Do I also need to brace from the peak of truss 1 to the bottom of truss 3 and then back up again to truss 5 or will the roof battens provide enough additional strength? I'd rather have as little bracing as possible so it looks better visually but also want to be safe. The roof will have polycarb on it (eventually!).
Thanks in advance,

Mark
