    Default Chocolate Stain

    Hello all,

I need to match a stain to existing furniture (mass produced), does any one know where to get a chocolate stain or what stains are require to mix to get this effect,

Hmmmm don't you just love fashionable furniture, personally I can't understand staining good wood but there you go.

    Cheers for any help

    Hi Kevin,
I would suggest that you use a pigmented white (titanium oxide) colorant and a brown (burnt umber) I would start with the white colorant and then add a little of the brown color at a time while you keep mixing..
Kevin, remember that to see the true color of stains, they need to be clear coated.

    Good Luck

Assuming that you have looked at all possible colour cards for an approximate colour match, you may wish to look at Feast Watson Prooftint as well.

Make sure that you get as much good advice on mixing this stuff as humanly possible. Preferably from someone who knows the stuff backwards.

    Hope this helps.
    Do or do not.....

Just try on a piece of scrap timber first.
