    Default Pod coffee.

Ever notice how nearly all brands of pods are supposed to be Nespresso compatible?

They aren't!! Lavazza has a pod out that has aluminium both ends. Buggers of things to get aligned correctly.

Grinders can also be a pain to align.

Just thought I would let those of you who are ignorant of these facts know!!!

I can not convince SWMBO that the used pods are not the best things to put into a landfill.

The pod machines themselves are pretty crappy as well and like all cheap coffee machines and appliances contribute to a fair bit of landfill.

The aluminium content in the capsules is known to 'possibly' be a factor causing dementia.
    Food for thought perhaps.

Unfortunately the amount of Al lost from pods pales into insignificance compared to the amount of corroded/pitted/missing Al I've seen from some cheap coffee machines.
The photo below shows what happens when a group head full of used wet ground coffee is left attached to the machine.
Machine was a just over 12 months old Sunbeam.

    Another example of toxic consumerism
These pods AND plastic coffee cups/lids should be outlawed...MM
