Default WOODWORKING QUIZ for 6 Sept 04

    Good Evening Friends,
You wife has asked you to make an arched door opening in the non load bearing wall between the kitchen and the dining room to save her steps during a large holiday meal.

What would be you method of completing this chore?

    Respectfully,

Cut two arches out of chip board and install one on each side of of the opening in line with face of the studs and block it out between the two.

Sheet it with Gypsum board each side flush with the walls and cut a strip of gypsum board to run around the curve of the arch and then fix a strip of single sided smooth edge on each side of the arch then plaster it up.

Default WOODWORKING QUIZ ANSWER for 6 Sept 04

    Good Evening Friends,
Good job Barry, as you have the correct method of doing the chore, unless you talk her into just installing a pass through.

    Thanks for your support,

    Respectfully,
