Thread: Forum upgrade and support

Ok, I started a new thread to test. After the first edit, I then went back into edit and checked "Delete Post". I expected the thread would also be deleted as it would then have no posts in it.
That proved to be the case.
Note that there was no "Delete Thread" option (which is now supposed to be the case for Gold Members, but I suspect that I might be a Diamond member)

Tom, (Chesand), as you are a Gold Member, do you get a Delete Thread option in a thread that you start? You would have to start a new one in this subforum to test that.

Yes. I started a new thread and was able to delete immediately.
One of those Googleads appeared immediately also.
Perhaps your privileges have not yet become active as Neil said it could be some time for some of them to be activated.Tom

When you edited were there two buttons to choose or just one? (remembering that in a one post thread, deleting the post will also delete the thread).
What I have just noticed in another thread of mine that I just posted into (an old one) was that there was a check box at the bottom left to Close the thread. That was not on edit, it was just in the reply to thread.

I started to get those Google adds yesterday and now they are on every thread. I get no content but that could be my addblocker working.

Maybe we should all just wait until the upgrade is complete rather than futzing around with this small stuff?

I never log out either but for a week or so now I have had to log in every time I call up a forum page.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Likes Thanks, etc should now be working for all.
If neither of these ar working yoi may need to reload or refresh page a couple of times.
Not sure but may take an hour or so to reset to gole and senior member promotions.
Cheers - Neil
PS please let me know if both fixes are working again.

easy peasy....
Rsync and a master-slave database duplication. Super easy!
Run a parallel system on another port (81 or 8080) and test it almost-live, then flip it over.
Done it a thousand times on super-intensive production sites.
