Buy her a packet of knitting needles so that she can knit you a jumper for the winter.
    OR
A set of spanners so that SHE can service the car and save money,
    OR
An axe so that SHE can go and cut the logs for the fire,
    OR
A digital camera so that SHE can go and take pictures o .. oh oh, what did I just say?

The term 'grammar nazi' was invented to make people, who don't know their grammar, feel OK about being uneducated.

Peter, my little princess is only four, but I'd be chuffed if she grows up to give me that sort of problem.

BTW, I do have metal stamps in both numbers and alphabet

Ahh doncha love it. The wives/gfs try to get all grumpy with us and we bite, but as soon as we mention our daughters, the thread's hijacked.

Well that isn't any good, you're to far away to came and use it.

Actually she has earns more than me, but she wanted me to buy it. When I refused it suddenly wasn't quite necessary as a set cost $ 65.

    Bob
    that's not the point.
She expected Peter to buy it for her, little princess just turned little parasite. And to think we were all going gooey about how lucky he is to have an excuse to buy tools, or how sweet daughters are(and Peter, I'm sure she is. )
There's something strange about pheremones. My little precious just seized her car, guess who had to lend her (read give) the money for another.
Anyone want to buy a slightly hot charade?
She's still my favourite female though. Daddy syndrome?
    Cheers

I didn't suggest that Peter either buys it. or not buys it for her, thats his decision

Her idea was to punch her name on a set of dog tags for a fancy dress party for last Saturday. I was willing to buy a set if it was about $ 20 but I refused at $ 65 when she has a perfectly good electric engraving tool that could do it.

The main point was that everyone was surprised that I didn't have it, that I have never had the need to buy it rather than you have too many tools and gadgets hidden away in that workshop.

BTW the party came and passed without the engraving/punching and she still had a great time.

If it is, then I might as well be the first.
