Ironbark Decking - Seasoning
Hi All, I have been reading through the forums and there seems some great advice there!
I do still have sme remaining questions though and would love some help.
My Ironbark decking gets delivered tomorrow and there seems two schools of thought on how to care for the timber.
1. Keep it dry and oil ASAP. I read that people cover the timber and make sure as soon as it is installed they oil it.
2. Let it season for months - upto 6 then clean and oil. I assume this means letting the timber get wet whenever possible, including while it is waiting to be installed.
There seems to be contradictory advice on this or am I just missing something.
Thank you in advance
Glyn
