    Default Bang!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Bang, pheph,pheph,pheph,pheph,pheph,.
    Went the little V8 engine.
All the other cars looked and laughed, not so big and tough now is he.
Poor BYOOTY, just over 2 years old and destined for the scrapheap.
    And hardly done 45000 kms.
All the other cars shook their heads, they dont make em like they used too.
Poor scrapyard man, sitting there scratching his head, what will he do for transport now?
Ok Dobbin, time to come out of retirement, Mr Ford has had his laugh at our exspense.

    Walk on.................................

    Al

Far be it for me to take the you know what at what is clearly a time of great distress. We all know how you loved that stupid truck.

    But...

Feeling like an anxious parent waiting for a child to find out their current conquest is not the stuff of which life partners are made.. I am sure you will take this time to re-evaluate your life and find a more suitable form of conveyance.

    Like a Mercedes Sprinter perhaps??

    Cheers,

    P

    Al,

Commisserations of your deep loss, taken away from you just when you need a good truck in your new venture.

When is the funeral and do you want us to observe a 2 minute silence?

    Apart from me?

The V8 decided it wanted to be a V7.
Blew out a spark plug stipping the thread in the head on the way out.
Good idea to put a hardened steel plug into an alloy head.
The way the motors are positioned, I think the motor will have to come out just to change the plugs.
Maybe thats why they use titanium bits and peices on the plugs, which are $30 each?
Luckily its still covered under the 3 year warranty ( I hope ).
Thank you for your best wishes, I will convey them to BYOOTY.

    Good to hear Al.

Don't listen to BightingM I'd love one of those Ford trucks (duel cab, 4x4, 7.3ltr turbo diesel....droooool).

It's another one of those "don't have a use for it, would be totally impractical for me, but if I had half an excuse (and the money ) I'd buy one"

It's my understanding that those V8's are usually pretty reliable.

Fords latest 5.4ltr BOSS V8 has the same bottom end as the V8 in your truck.

What he's not telling you Ben is that he ad 14 tonnes a junk on the back and had turbocharged it with a hairdryer and a long extension cord.

......and was attempting to match the current world record 1/4 mile time of 4.5 seconds at 520 kph.

The 14 tonnes of junk was for traction.

Problem was, the heating element in the hairdryer ignited the NOS he was running, and the rest as they say, is history.

    Hi all

I got me yoot back last night.
Id forgotton how high the ride is, even after 2 weeks driving the car.
They replaced both heads on it with some better type of head, why wasnt the better type on it in the first place?

The old type couldnt be repaired if a plug stripped out the thread, but the new one can be repaired.
But I hope I dont have to go through that crap again.
Maybe the head was buggered right from the start, the yoot certainly seemed to have more power last night.
Or maybe I got used to driving the car.

    Al

I see a childs book contract and maybe even a kids tv series coming out of this story.
