We have purchased a house with the view of fixing it up abit and selling in 1-2 years time. We bought it knowing it would need restumping and thought thats fine. There is only one area in the house where its noticeably lower, which is along a kitchen/lounge wall (I've attached some pics below so hopefully that can help a little...they show opposites sides of the same wall, with the corner being where you can notice the slant..not sure how well it will show). We got some quotes with it reaching around 15k as it must have been renoavted at some stage or another and the kitchen floor is above a concrete floor and sounds like they've built straight on top with a bit of a mess underneath. The restumper thinks in his opinon to fill the house with furniture and leave it as it is and with furniture will prob be unnoticeable....we are selling again.. and the stumping costs may not be worth the effort and just fix it up cosmetically. THe realestate director has also recommended similar due to the costs and that the house is failry good except for one area.. If anything just pack the area that is noticable or replace just that. We ideally want to put in some sort of new kitchen whether is be a flatpack or a second hand one. THis is where the floor level concerns us most...but if we go ahead and put a new kitchen replace skirting, windows, walls, doors, jams etc, will this be a stupid thing to do without restumping or is this very common. We are planning on doing all work we can legally ourselves with the help of some mates, some with building experience. Would really appreciate some opinons
