Mr McMath was my maths teacher.
Mr Workman was my industrial arts teacher.
I once had a regular Vietnamese (I think) customer called Phuoc Hue.
I've also had a client called Hugh Wysh.

yeah I recall a while back a suburb on the central coast in NSW the Suburb was called Watanobbi and the females of the suburb were up in arms putting a petition together to try and change the name of the place because they seemed to think it was a sexual gesture.. they went that far wth the petition and all the rest of it, It was actually on the news and on A current Affair!

A general surgeon in Sydney (he repaired an inguinal hernia for me): Dr Gillette!

A woman I worked with (I won't mention the company for her benefit) was named Samantha Lees. The email address rule was first initial plus surname!

I'd love to tell you what I call my current manager behind her back!!!! Maybe another time...

When my daughter & her hubby (surname Carr) were going through names for their soon-to-be, they immediately eliminated Wayne and Manuel.

I also worked with a Teresa Green, and had Dr. Clapp as our GP in Adelaide, & his nephew as a surgeon in Sydney. There's also a Dr. Surgeon in Sydney. Also worked with a bloke named Dudley Sledge, always known (but not to his face) as deadly sludge.

I have a list of fake employees around here someplace, but I'll spare you even if I find it. (At least for now)

About 20 years ago, there was a dentist in Anchorage Alaska named Dr. Paine. I might have posted a pic of his office sign on the forum a while back.

I once worked with an engineer of Indian (Asia) extraction in New Orleans. I forget his original name, but he changed the spelling to "Dixit" to avoid obvious offense.

William Lear (Lear Jet and 8-track tape players) named his daughter "Shanda." Really. Now a gospel singer IIRC.

Very odd that many veterinarians have animal names: Dr. Fox, Dr. Wolfe, etc.

This is true. I worked with a teacher whose name was S Pitt. worse still he was unaware of the humour because he told me how careful his father was to avoid calling him Cecil after himself. "You wouldn't shorten Cecil would you?" he said.

I have it on good authority that this is true.

A friend of mine lived near the Dick family.

    Named their daughter Ophelia.
