    Default Charleston-South Carolina

What a terrible tragedy. Nine firies killed fighting a warehouse fire in Charleston, South Carolina.

Thank you Sheddie. Our entire state is stunned and saddened. Apparently the warehouse roof just collapsed onto them, killing them all at once.
    Cheers,

No doubt the warehouse wasn't worth it and was probably insured anyway. Firies don't get paid enough. I for one have them in my thoughts.

Honorable sense of chagrin, Sheddy. But rest assured, it doesn't work that way. It'd be obscene to ask firefighters to risk all for the sake of material goods that, as you say, were probably insured anyway. They do it because there might be live victims inside who could be rescued. Heroism doesn't get much better than that. Or get paid enough either. Bless them all.

Default May they be well remembered

My heart goes out to those families & friends, let alone the community there in Charleston, having to cope with the grief for the lost nine fire folk out doing their job.

A tragedy such as this bears out the risk folk in our community daily put on line to ensure that the rest of us have a chance of living a life free of all it's insecurities!

A worthy tribute to all emergency personnel putting their lives on the line from day to day eludes me at this time but my thoughts feel for those left to carry the burden.

    cheers
