    Default minor gloat. . .

sparky came today and wired up the shed. . .
    did a great job. . .
    circuit board/breakers in the shed
    2 x 15A pp
    4 x double 10A pp
    exising fluro lights wired
    2 extra fluros (singles)
    34metres heavy cable
new something-or-other in the fuse box
he lifted the roof irons on the house and put the wire in under them
led the cable all the way along the C section of our large shade area
strung a wire between the end of that and the shed corner
wired all the shed (pro-job, too. . .)
    great bloke
40Amps - sparky reckons probly 32A with the length of the run
    all for under $900...
    I'm chuffed. . .

Power in the shed is a wunnerful thing!

He probably put an earth leakage circuit breaker in the fusebox.

Enjoy, the $ pain goes away soon enough, well, it goes away...

I should have said it appeared to be good value. What with parts etc that's not a bad deal at all.

Had to bury my cable, 25m underground, trench to be dug but got an earth leakage detector in the shed as well as the main fusebox, cost me a heap of antenna installations and a small passive repeater for his holiday house.
I suspect he got the better end of the deal.
    $900 sounds a good price.
