Blueboard
Hi
Can someone tell me what blueboard is exactly. I am investigating a fibro house that has had blueboard cladding and rendering. There are some possible issues with dampness. Any rules regarding damp course?
Appreciate any help

blueboard is made by james haride, have a googl;e for their site. It is aq cladding exactly the same a s fibro, except 7mm thick (fibro usually 5mm and included asbestos). However instead of joiners, BB comes with recessed edges and so is finished like villaboard then a water proof external paint system is applied to make it water proof. Flashing etc is exactly the same as for weathboard or any other cladding type.

Blueboard
Thanks Pharma..
I've checked the James Hardie site and others and they don't list any material as blueboard. I presume each manufacturer has a proprietary name for their panels as I see JH has. However the info' provided is fine.

Harditex is what you need to look for.
