Ozwinner Owes Me Money

So I'm currently stuck in a country location in NSW, with little to keep me occupied between working hours.

I indulged in a PM conversation with Mr Ozwinner (AKA "Al" ) earlier, but we had to cut it short so I could have some dinner.

Dinner is at a pub next door, that genorously charges back to my motel.

This pub has TAB facilities, and whilst I wait for my seafood basket to be prepared, I venture a punt on "Al's Conquest", with my recent PM conversation in mind. Unfortunately, "Al's Dagz" had been scratched!:eek::eek:

Al's Conquest is a dishlicker, and it's the favourite for the race.

I bet $5 each way.

Ozwinner now owes me $10.

So I reckon my instincts have misled me, and I find a trotter called "Totally Misled". Perfect! $5 on the nose! That'll recover my earlier stake.

I have met Al once, and thought him an OK bloke.

Now I see how he can affect racing results, and my respect for him has soured somewhat.

Al's quick off the mark but is more suited to a moderate (d) track these days. I'm sure he'll pay you back the tenner when he has saved up enough for the Tannewitz (or was it the Martin Al?).
