NZ - North Island - Lower Hutt to be exact. Left NZ nearly 31 years ago. Have been back once, but hope to visit again.
Best memories - Buttercups and bumble bees, climbing the trees in the Trentham School grounds, falling into the Moonshine River (Hutt River), rolling down the hill at my Uncle Phil's sheep farm
cheers

North island ..... South island which one is best is an argument I hear all the time and all I can do is interject and say well it doesn't matter because you are all over here on the west island so that one has to be the most popular!!!!!

Everybody must have heeded Cliff's comment - guess we can talk but not vote. Anyway, I was born in NZ, managed to score an English grandparent so I could go work in England. Did that 10 years. Came back... probably should have stayed put given the economy here. Did some time at the CIT in The Hutt - Hi Wendy. Anyway, how about a fresh poll - "In what year will NZ become part of Aus? " or is that one done too?

Just wish people would stop telling those pesky Victorians about the place..."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

Well, I don't really like to brag too much of course, so I won't name the country, but after Mum put in that basket of reeds and floated me down that big river, I was picked up by the daughter of ... well, a ruler and the rest is history
