Need help re-finishing a recycled teak coffee table top
I have a recycled teak coffee table top that was originally finished 15 years ago with Shellac... I have sanded it back with fine sandpaper to a thin finish coat of the original finish and re-applied a coat of Feast Watson's original Black Japan, then polished off the exess using 0000 steel wool and mineral turpentine. I now need to brush on a new coat or two or hard waring varnish or other clear coat. I tried Feast Watson's Crear oil-based varnish, but it has areas of small bubbles as I apply it with a brush... Can someone please help me by suggesting the best product option for these final coats or suggest a better preperation (other than a full sand back)? I am in Melbourne Australia... Thanks.

You'll probably have more luck over at sister (mother?) site WoodWork Forums, namely https://www.woodworkforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4
