Looks like the DTD173Z has all the bells and whistles but other than that basically they are the same with the DTD154Z is older style basic unit.
So... all the bells n whistles or basic but mostly the same.
Tongue in cheek:
For me it would be the one with the best price unless you need all the bells, whistles 'n' light, etc.
I love bells n whistles.
Yeah!

I'd heard that Bunnings don't really do a real price match for the 10% discount they offer. The reason is that it refers to the same stock item. You might find the identical product somewhere, but if it has a different model number (despite it being identical) they will classify it as a different stock item and deny eligibility for the discount. So, their discount deal never works for anyone.

yep and once the price match goes over a certain amount they're reluctant to do it because some manager must give them the chat about it.
story/rant
I asked to price match some waterproofing to a physical store a few hundred km's away. I know bunnings have the generic will match online retailers if it comes under INCLUDING postage.... but this was a physical couple of shops down in Sydney. I bought the tub of goo the 18 year at the desk, showed them the website where it said instore for pick up and she instantly said "oh no it has to be a local price match to do it" I firmly asked "where it said that in the policy"... pushing further saying "well where is the cut off between local and non local" met with a blank stare she called someone else over. I had to state that if I really wanted to I could drive to the shop right now and pick it up as its instore and the extract same product code as you have. they both kind of looked at each other and one said "I dont really want to have to deal with that one" as it was a pretty decent discount, not half price but close to. In the end they marked it down for me (like the money was coming out of their own pockets) and barely said good bye.
its not the first time i've had to argue the point for a price match. Had a similar issue with a whipper snipper about the difference between online only etc. but I got it price matched and the next day all the same whipper snippers where marked down and 50c cheaper then my price matched price.
I have no idea why bunnings staff want to argue about things like that when they're making billions each year.
either way back to the OP's topic.
