    Default Wide H3 fence capping?

    G'day all,
I’m fixing up – not building from scratch – a solid timber pool fence. The posts are 70 x 90 and flush with the top rail, which is bolted to the face of the posts, 45 x 90. That means I’m looking for H3 capping that will fit over 115 mm (that is 70 + 45 mm). There are various 140 x 45 H3 capping products, but they all have 103 mm rebates or smaller. So I'm looking for a 140 capping with 115 or greater rebate, or less desirably, 140 with no rebate.
Anyone know of any such? Definitely not The Green Shed.

I'd buy the version with the 103mm rebate and use the router to increase that by 6mm on each side to make it a 115mm rebate.

Without a router, you could use a circular saw with fence to rip the length of both internal sides of the rebate.

Failing that, I haven't looked for a long time but I'd be surprised if Mitre10 or Bowens etc didn't sell 140x45 H3 without rebate

whats the specific reasoning for needing capping?

can you hide it with a 140 on top and something on the face?

Before my time in the house, "someone" used untreated pine 140 mm as a cap .... and Lo and Behold .... it rotted, especially in the ends where rainwater could pool. I thought to avoid that, but I'll be using 140 mm H3, can't get anything else in Sydney.
