Alternative to Osmo Polyx?
Hi all,
We’re nearing the end of our house renovation and have a few walls of blackbutt timber battens that need finishing.
I often use Osmo Polyx matt on furniture as it doesn’t create a yellow tint on blonde timbers. Osmo unfortunately is almost $1,000 for the 10L tin I’d need to finish the battens in our house (there is a lot of them!) so I was wondering if anyone has a less costly alternative I could look into? Needs to be hard wearing with our 3yo son.
Thanks in advance,
Josh

An oil would be the best product for vertical surfaces. I recommend Constantia 100% Australian Organic Oils

Whittle has a hard wax oil and is a bit cheaper.
I've only used it on a few small pieces so far, so can't attest to it's durability.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I’ll check them both out.
