Hello from a hobby woodworker
Hi there!
I'm from South Australia, learning the ropes and making some things along the way.
The interest began 14 years ago in high school furniture making as I'm sure it did for a lot of people haha.
Since then I've spent the past two years slowly buying machines and making a couple peices for friends and family.
Currently I'm trying to restore an old OMGA Radial 600 and building a new octagonal aquarium cabinet out of some old Douglas Fir that my dad collected 20+ years ago.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this community

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum.
There are quite a good few members around Adelaide plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I'll be making a thread for my current woodwork project and the resto tomorrow.
Truth be told the resto only gets worked on when I have time between other projects, and I've hit a bit of a snag with that currently.
But for now heres a few things I've made:

Jarrah coffee table with an oil finish.

Jarrah picinic table with magnetic folding legs.

More Jarrah, cat scratching tower for my sisters royal cat.

Oregon (Douglas Fir) floating entertainment unit, I'm quite proud of those mitres haha.

And finally a few things, a balcony table made from a steel frame and pallet timber, a set of shelves from Oregon and galv pipe and lastly I had a go at cladding our balcony ceiling.
