Yep, you could be right there Brett, I didn't even consider the possibility of a couple of nice quarter sawn boards being taken off the side.
That most recent pic. is a rough sawn side and doesn't really add much to assist with identification for me. If the house was only 10-20 years old it could even be Radiata.

That last picture looks to me to be a classic example of the Irish timber -O'Regan, commonly called Oregon in Australia.
