Hey silentC, seeing as you can't get it working, thought you might be interested in the attached. How accurate is the lat/long?

Seeing as it's the lat. long. of the weather station at the airport, it's pretty close. It's on the wrong side of the road and about 100 metres too far south
You can almost see my house. I'm at the southern end of the main beach that extends almost to the bottom of the picture. I look across the bay to the peninsula at the top of the picture. You can see the golf course where SWMBO spends most of her spare time in the centre of the picture. To the south west of that is the town and our block is on the western fringe in the dark green bit."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

Why is it free I asked?
Well we're about to fork out US$600 for the commerical liscense so we can use the photos in our transport planning reports and presentations.
That sounds like a hefty sum, but from thje budget of a $140K project................Cheers,
Adam

Bottom right is the Caravan Park (sorry, Beach Resort), mid left is the swimming pool and sports complex and the horse riding school to the north on the other side of the road. The main beach runs around to Merimbula and then you can see Short Point, Tura Beach, Bournda Island and Wallagoot lake in the top right. In the distance is Doctor George mountain to the right and the foothills of Brown Mountain on the left.

I must admit that i am also addicted to this site
its a pity that while some stuff is very high res other areas are very poor i can hardly make my place out. and the wolf blass winery in the barossa where im working at the moment building a bottling hall and wharehouse is also a bit poor.
fun site but!

Accuracy isn't that great, e.g. Alice Springs is about 5 km out. Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
