Painting question
Hi there, Am currently renovating an old queenslander (age unknown) and the skirtings etc have all been painted with gloss enamel, I want to paint over them with acrylic and thought that the easiest way would be to put an undercoat on them then just paint away but the guy at the hardware told me that i need to use a oil based undercoat first which I am trying to steer away from as enamel based paints and I do not work well together.
Is there a water based undercoat that I could just paint on?
