Roller strokes visible in paint job
I am painting a clean plasterboard wall, with one undercoat and several of yellow topcoat.
Now the problem is that this wall gets light reflected right along its surface so any imperfections are very noticeable. If I stand and look straight at the wall it looks perfect, stand to the side and look down it and I can see visible roller strokes all the way along the wall.
As you walk into the room the roller strokes are the first thing you see if the sunlight if glancing off it.
I first noticed this after the 2nd coat and put a third coat on carefully but to no effect. I then applied a 4th coat and the marks are still there.
Any ideas? Would wiping the wall with sugar soap do any good?
