150 yr old house almost moves with the wind
*Not interested in underpinning.
But house has has seasonal movement- example, cornice shifts a couple mm- rendering cornice adhesive no more gaps useless.
What about silicone- the real deal and use .. zinsser primer and paint?
Thoughts?

Nothing sticks to silicone including paint.
Many manufacturers have flexible gap sealants that are made for the purpose and are paintable. However you have made a comment stating one brand is useless?
Why, what result did you have ? Pictures tell a thousand words.
Cornice adhesive IS NOT for filling gaps, it is used to mount the cornice in the first place.

The problem with flexible gap fillers is that they only flex so much. From distant memory, some said they flex +/-10%. So if you have a 2mm seasonal variation to cater for, you need a 20mm gap to fill.
A coloured poly-based filler may be appropriate, depending on your needs

learn to live with the gaps and call it charm.
we gap filled out hardwood timeber floor boards. now during summer the boards swell and the filler protrudes out the top of the board gaps, during winter when everything dries out the filler isn't enough and it sinks leaving gaps still.
gap filling might help, but the paint you put on top isn't going to flex with it
