    Default Hi all~

    Hi everyone,

New here from Sydney. Glad to have found out about this community where I can seek advice for my new woodworking journey. First project is the workbench !

    Cheers.

Welcome! It appears to be a rite of passage to build a workbench first, then once the skills have developed, to want to redo it fairly soon afterwards! My own projects are still 80% shop furniture

    G'Day & Welcome to a top forum....
There are quite a stack members cross the Australia and the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum......
    Enjoy your woodwork......
    Cheers crowie

PS - If you want to get a head start on a bench, all I used were two old solid core doors on a 4x2 bolted frame, the top door has a 12mm ply skin work surface; works a treat....
