The best laid plans....

Well Swambo and I have been trying to get to Longreach for most of the year.

First plans were sidelined due to rain and the arrival of our "niece"from the US.

Second set of plans scuttled by a trip to Bris and several consultations becaause
of my macular degeneration.

Third set of plans now shelved!!! We have to visit an old aunty who has been diagnosed
cancer> She is 90 and has been given months to live. We really need to do this as Aunty
Jean was a very important part of my early childhood, and she also loves Ana. She is the
sweetest person one could hope to meet and, having missed her 90th birthday I cannot let this go.

Apart from this we had forgotten that some friends are booked to come here in early Oct. Can't
run the risk of not being here!! AND this morning we learned that a French student we had
in 09 is coming in erly October with his wife. Can't miss that either!!!

Well, there is always next year!!
