Unitie - one per joist or double?
Redoing some rooms at home. Builder let me know to use some beams and hang the ceiling joist from them. All good, got myself some unitie straps and nailed them on, all good except for a mishap with the hammer and finger.. One per joist. Can't seem to work out if there should be two per joist after reading the literature online, and my builder-of-knowledge has gone on holidays.
Should I be doubling these up to two unities for each joist? The beams are only supporting the ceiling so I can remove a centre wall and increase the joist span, the remainder of the structural framing is already in place.
