Hi, I'm building a shed, using 90mm stirrups to hold the base plates. The base plates are H3 treated pine, 90mm x 90mm (got these for cheap, otherwise I'd be using 90x45mm).

Due to the extra thickness of the base plate, what would be the best way to attach the studs? I take it a l-o-n-g nail wouldn't be the best option here, as it'd have to be at least 120mm long to get any sort of strength.

Should I use a coach screw, from the bottom of the base plate into the stud? And perhaps some right angle gal brackets on the base plate into the stud? Or should I scrap my idea and just use 90x45? It's just a shed, only 1.2m wide and 4m deep.
