Restumpers - Are They Obligated............
By Law (here in Victoria) to re-level a property (within 18 months) of having restumped the house previously?
If they had given a warranty, do they (by law) have to re-level the house even if the movement was due to clay shrinkage under the house?
What does a warranty generally cover from a restumper?
Thanking those in advance who post a reply (or more more).
Btw, I will be getting in touch with the Building Commission tomorrow but having just started a new job I am unlikely to get through to them in time allotted for our breaks.
Cheers

Interesting question.
I imagine that the warranty would apply if the foundations were suitable for the soil classification and they have failed due to poor workmanship. If they are the wrong foundation for the soil type I dont know where they stand.
