well i did find that out sometime after i adopted this avatar, but i didnt steal it from tankstand nor did i know of its history until after i had adopted it. also it seems tankstand caved in to the vocal minority and removed it whereas i stood my ground and posted signatures justifying my use of it such as "This avatar represents what we are all striving for in our woodwork - beauty, proportion and functionality". i didnt cave in at the first reddie i received for using it, or the second or third. I hung in there and defended my right to use it. And still nearly 12 months later here i am still defending it

Still, tankstand can have the glory if you so insist, ive never been into glory, my motto has always been "its amazing how much you can get done when you dont care who gets the credit for it"

It shouldn't be about whose is the best. Afterall, none of us created them, we just copied them from somewhere else and stuck them on here to use.

It's about whose is the most recognisable or whose fits best. Like Midge's for instance. If he changed, it just wouldn't seem the same.
