    One of the benefits of painting is if you have painted on site (plein air) or taken a photograph for painting later is that the occassion is implanted in your life (mind) and most probably the emotions are recalled later in life.
    This painting reminds me of a happy day and perhaps some forum members can put a place name to the picture, hence the thread titled ?

    Actually it was Manly, Janet & I had spent a day with AlexS our host in January 2005 and Alex asked if there was a particular area when we were driving back into Sydney we would like to visit and the name of Manly came to mind (from a novel I had read 50 years ago).
    Alex must have thought it was a funny request, which if Alexs is reading this thread might want to explain.
