    Default Aerial combat!!

Sitting out on the deck waiting for the Lamb chops to cook when a magnificent spectacle unfolded.

Mr. Butcher bird decided Mr. Peewee was not supposed to be where he was and launched an assault.
Second Peewee joined in and then another butcher bird. would you believe the noisy minors also decided
    to have a dig?!

The show was brief but furious!!. The speed at which these birds dodge and duck and weave across rooftops.
around verandah posts and trees always leaves me in awe! No bird ever seems to come to harm let alone grief.

We have a Wisteria tree near the house and the local Rosellas seem attracted to the flowers but yesterday it was on for young and old as a few of them tried to repel boarders so to speak. I didn't realise that Rosellas could get so stroppy with their own mates. A crow seems to have moved into the neighbourhood lately and has been harassing a few Sulphur Crested Cockies but knowing the local cockies they will eventually win.

Butcher birds are amazingly manoeuvrable, like an avian fighter plane. Love watching them pick of an insect in mid air.
