Hi all,

We're currently doing our homework regards putting a deck onto the house. In order to keep the budget to a reasonable cost for the +- 75 sqm, I'd like to ask what types of timber would be used for a more cost effective solution.
Merbau is the hardwood of choice but is out of our price range. If hardwood is still an affordable option (Blackbutt), what else would be in a similar price range.
A treated pine deck is certainly not my choice but the cost may force this as a last resort? Do I have any reasonable alternatives?
The deck will be rectangular, 15m x 5 m and attach to the house on 2 sides.
