Dresser/sideboard repair
My wife picked up a lovely dresser/sideboard/whatever you call it the other day. It came out of a wall apparently where it was fixed, presumably to make up for the missing right hand rear support. So, I think I am going to rebuild the leg. But how to go about it? And what would I use to wrap(?) the leg. It's a really thin piece of wood that curves around to cover the workings. Seriously thin but doesn't look or feel like balsa, which is the only thing I could think of.

.
Alternatively, I could just build a support frame using 70 X 35 treated pine underneath??
Thoughts, ideas, pics, offers to come over and fix it for me cos I had a late night and it's got to be nap time soon, all appreciated

Agreed that the woodworkers forum will provide great advice for the veneering, if that's the method you wish to replicate.
