It seems that the big green shed doesn't only pose a threat to some of our national days, now it is being accused of threatening the very cornerstone of our society (well it used to be anyway), marriage!!:o

A brief summary of the above - it's only the depth that varies. :o
Does Bunnings threaten marriage? No, in fact it teaches lower expectations, which should be a plus.
Strike up an agreement with the wife, you go clothes shopping with her, then she goes to Bunnings with you.
You can stop at every asile and handle the items ... just like they do when clothes shopping... even have them hold some items for you .. walk arround some more .. then put them back .. just like they do.
Seems fair to me ... equal time spent.
Don't really know. I say I'm goning to Bunnies and SWMBO usually replies 'you're not taking my car" (actually it's my company car not hers) so I have to take the old truck(2 seater landcrusier) and that's when SWMBO(8years) and HWMBO(4years) start the fight to see who is going to go. SWMBO then finally has enough and I get to take both of them and she has to drive the old truck.
Bunnies have a lot to answer for in putting in a play ground (thats all the kids want) and I cop it when we all finally get back home (usually after a couple of hours) and I didn't even buy any thing.
Ahhhh.. to sit and dream in a hardwhare store.............
Just hope they don't put a bar in there...........
Why cant she read between the lines? He goes to Bunnings to get away from her minipulation and poor attempts at comedy in her online articles. She should stop trying to analyse the male psyche with her whining friends and just allow him some time to himself.
On a side note: Before people go straight to Bunnings to buy more clutter they don't need, they should visit they're local independent hardware store. Why buy 100pc packet of screws when you only need a dozen? A lot of the time the job will work out cheaper and the quality is usually far better!

SHMBOs' would be more worried if we were the ones going to female clothing shops,picking out a dress etc and feeling the material of every artical in the shop
I believe we are far better off spending our time in Bunnys and our workshop
and SHMBO spending money on nice clothes for herself.That keeps us happy as well
seeing the boss looking nice in her new clothes.:)

am i the only one who doesnt like them?? search and find the place for whatever, only 2or none left and need ten. mitre ten is smaller [cairns ]but a whole lot easier and friendlier. the local bunnings have the layouts reversed why??not a fan . cheers bob

Try to buy a replacement part for any tool they sell!!
The bloke in charge of the tool section at our Blunderings (Maitland) told me that it "Was against company policy, but to write to head office about it!!!"
I now use mail order where ever possible--no parking problems, no impulse buying, and no teeny-bopper assistants spouting the company line.:~:~
