Bob's images are hosted on the www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au URL
Easiest way to find out if you're logged on there is to follow this link and see if you're logged on or not and if you are, you should be able to see this image in this post.
http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...1&d=1238303741
ok that was weird.
i could not see the pic.
when i clicked the link the other site came up i was already loged in there but the pic apearde here.:?
i could not see the pic in ur post it had a little red X when i opend the link the page refreshed and it was there.
they are al working now.
So if I'm reading this correctly, then images are hosted on the URL that you were logged into when you uploaded them. Is this correct? :?
Has any thought been given to bringing all the domains together? You can quite easily have all of them redirect nicely to a primary domain keeping in tact the entire URL.
ok every time i open the forum i have to go to all the url's to make the jpgs visable. i am always logged in to them all but i have to physicly open them to see the pics.
Ok, what browser are you using?
Could be to do with setting in your browser
Ie7
Ok, go to Tools>Internet Options>General>Browsing History and Click Settings and check that the Automatically check box is checked under Check for newer versions of stored pages:
already is.:?
Ok what about the Delete Browsing History check box in the same section?
Is that checked or unchecked? Should be unchecked.
ok there is.

i still having the problem with all pice bt the ones hosed on .com as thats teh one i open.
i have to open each site even thow im loged into them all before i see the pics.
Carl,
how about you open all three sites, and tick "Remember Me"
i have already done that. iv always been set to remember me on all urls.
i jsut haev to open them and close them again and all is good.:2tsup:
This multiple logon stuff is bloody silly.
I realise that search engines send people to the older forums, but why not just disable them for posting and have everything new under the one forum?
Actually carl, it's a new idea I have to "mess with your mind" . . . .:D
its not just your pics bob. its anyones that are not on the .com url.:?
I agree. You don't have to actually disable anything though. You can set up rewrite rules to automatically redirect users to the main .com domain and keep the full URL intact.
So for example, if someone goes to www.woodworkforums.ubeatu.com.au/blah/this/, it will redirect them to www.woodworkforums.com/blah/this.
That way, previously indexed search results and other sites that link to this one will all still work correctly. Search engines will actually update their indexes if you do this correctly by using a 301 Redirect.
Just my thoughts - but happy to help someone out with the technical stuff if you like.
Cheers,
Af.
