What does Zymurgy mean?
Gordon.
A drunk Greek guy?
If he's drunk he reached that desirable state because he was studying applied chemistry. The branch that deals with the use of fermentation in brewing.
(It's the last word in my copy of the OED).
Name Huckleberry Hound's favourite song.

Staying with music..What was Dave Dee's real name?
You remember him: from Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich don't you?

Hello Mates,
My question is, why do these famous people even change their names in the first place?
Like the singing cowboy of years gone by, Roy Rogers, who's real name was Leonard Sly, and the late Johnnie Paycheck who sang "Take this job and shove it". who's real name was Donnie Lytle. Kind of make you wonder huh?
I'll take that as the next quiz question. My answer: yes it does. Which is correct, so it's my turn.Quote:

What's the hardest bone in the human body?

A little bone in the ear...called the anvil I think?
Sorry Alex, but that's the wrong answer.
That would be the enamel coating on your fingernails....
Susan Sarandon played "Janet" in the Rocky Horror Picture show but who played "Brad"? and what is his more political based better known acting role?
Wrong!! Strictly speaking, not a bone...
Hint: It's surprisingly easy to break...
It’s the femur (or yer teeth - take your pick but teeth aren't bones - they's teeth.).
Can I ask a question or does this question count as my question?
:D
Your skull?
Well ok then, sticking strictly to actual bones I'd go for the femur...
Broke mine in a car accident when I was 17. It broke right at the top and couldn't be plated. Ended up in traction for 8 weeks...
All wrong
This bone is the strongest because of the leverage required in it's use.
Actually, I'll have to pay femur because some sources say it is the "longest, strongest bone in the human body". :o
If you were playing Trivial Pursuit, the answer would be the mandible, or jaw bone....
Your turn Eastie...
This might be a case for your intrepretation of "strong" There are thousands of links on the internet all saying the femur is the strongest bone namely because of it's sheer size.
Taking the skeleton system as a whole the fingernail enamel is considered to be the toughest substance...
There is much mischievousness in your ways - it must be the jaw bone. At this point I declare that I am in fact right and will pose another question. If in the next couple of minutes Silent can give reason otherwise I'll edit it out.
Ok – what has earth got in three differnent states that some other planets in out solar system have in only one (or perhaps two but definitely not three).
No, if you were playing Trivial Pursuit, the answer would be "Rodney Marsh".Quote:

Water
Rugby League?
Over to you Tonz - water as a solid, liquid and vapor coexisting - with quite spectacular results I must say :D
Silent - you are a nut bag :D
Well I might as well stick to my last attempt...
Susan Sarandon played "Janet" in the Rocky Horror Picture show but who played "Brad"? and what is his more political based better known acting role?
Barry Bostwick - renowned for his role in the political thriller "Weekend at Bernies 2" :D
Now be honest, did you know that or did you look it up in IMDB?
Correct although I was referring more to his role as Mayor Randall Winston in the series "Spin City".
He's certainly aged a bit since 1975... (But thewn haven't a lot of us...)
(scene: imagine violin playing) I grew up the youngest of seven kids, with five older sisters – all of which were huge rocky horror picture show fans. Ask any question about this movie – or little house on the prairie, or young talent time, … you get the picture. I've tried very hard to suppress these memories :(
Sorry, didn't mean to cause you strife... ;)
