I just saw this at sawmill creek, but it was so, um, graphic, that it probably should be here as well. NOTE: even if you're not squeemish I reckon you may want to sit down :oo:

G'day,
:yikes: :censored2:
Looks like Skew. I only watched the first 20 seconds and that was enough.
:o :-
Thats what happens when you don't use a properly adjusted overhead guard.
Luckily I don't have any brothers - there is a distinct family resemblance there - he has a beard :oo:
BTW - remind me NOT to go to that emergency room - using bolt cutters to cut a piece of wood sticking out of someone head is NOT a good idea. Specially if it could be really close to the brain.
Wow!
I'd like to know the background of that one.
I had to look in the mirror to make sure I hadn't been telling any porkies.
Now I'm afraid to go out to the shed, in case it's an omen! :C
On a related issue, motorcyclist associations in the UK have started a campaign to oust the Chief Constable of Wales.
Without family persmission, he went on the media showing graphic pics of a rider killed in an accident which decapitated him ... pics of head with eyes still open FFS :((
EEooowwww
Nice cutters but I'd have to agree with bsrlee, surely there was something better to cut that off with. :C
The vid wasn't so bad, I thought the first half was worse than the last half.
Tablesaw kickback injury. Ouch.
Time for supper, I think the chili is done.
Cheers!
Ouch yep agree
bolt cutters??? very ideal I thought no chips
But would a dremel have ben better wood chips flying everywhere
A saw yeh right push pull push pull
it's ok mate just trying to remove that huge thing out your nose please next time use a hanky once in a while:doh:
Brought tears to my eyes. Betya he was smelling wood for weeks afterwards:-:D
bolt cutters where an excellent choice for the job - what else could you cut it with without causing it to vibrate like all get-out?
avoiding chipping is handy but he could have had his eyes covered
I was thinking something more like a bone saw would have been more appropriate.

Bolt cutters, if you ever use them, you will notice they tend to twist the material they are cutting. Also its hard to exert enough pressure to cut the material without applying pressure in some direction, up down sideway etc. Normally this is not a problem, normally however the material isn't embedded in someones face/head.
It turned out to be of little consequence. The material was not embedded far enough nor in a place for any twisting to cause serious damage. If they had already X-rayed him they might have known this and might well have been why they chose to use the cutters. However had it been embedded in his skull or brain where any twisting or shifting could cause severe permanent damage, using the cutters could have been a major mistake. They seemed to work well enough in this case though. So :2tsup: to the chaps.
