Smilie upgrade finally FINISHED!

I have finally finished the upgrade of Smilies.

You should now have the best of both worlds, the old and the new.

To anyone who can't see the smilies or who needs to use code to get the smilies into their posts, it is time to upgrade your Message Formatting Controls to WYSIWYG

To do this Go to User CP > Edit Options > Message Editor Interface and set it to Enhansed Interface - Full WYSIWYG Edeting >Save Changes Next time you make a post etc all you have to do is click on the Smilie you want and it will be put into the massage automatically.

There is no need to copy and paste smilies from the [More] section of the smiles, just click on the smile and it will automatically be placed into the post where you can move it around or whatever. There is also no need to use code form the [More] window just upgrade to WYSIWYG as above.

To the impatient ones who think it should all be done perfect 1st time. :Q

There are many many hours of work involved in getting everything on these forums just right and wingers don't help.:smack:

Neil, any chance of getting the new smilies added to the "Xtra Smilies Page" as well?

Skew - They're already there, all are shown listed in the first section under Standard :doh: Thats the section above FLAGS.:aus:

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Sorry, those will all be added to the More page soon. There are a lot of them and they need to be sorted and named before going onto the More page. There are already many of them on More but more to add more or less if you get my drift (what a moron).

Eventually the Extra page will disappear as it is easier to add them from the More page.

Just a tip that may be handy for some:
I've found that on my connection (256k), that it takes almost five minutes for the 'more' page to load if I haven't viewed it recently, or if I've cleared my computer's cache. So I've saved the page to my desktop and when I want to use a smilie I can open the whole page instantly with no waiting. Of course I have to copy/paste the code instead of just clicking on the smilie, but it still saves time, and it would also cut down on the bandwidth usage of the site. :smartass:

The more page stays open for me, it didnt use to but now it does and I didnt do anything to change it.
