time for all the haters to start crowing about how glad they are....
Woof, Woof
(Can't bring my self to Crow coz they're a crap side too)
WOOF, WOOF......https://www.ubeaut.biz/hjtwofinger.gif
Quite so. I moved to Melbourne 11 years ago and supported the Eagles. They only play in Melbourne a few times a year, so I started to go to see Doggies games with my best mate.
I suppose I'm more of a Doggies supporter now but next week I really can't loose. I was hoping for an Eagles - Doggies grand final but that's not going to happen now.
out of three and a half thousand active members Grunt, I think we are the only doggies supporters.!
whatever.................................we buried the pies

Im a Bombers fan but the doggies have something about them.
That was in my brain for most of the week so i went off to the tab and got 11 - 1 on the doggies +39.5
Roll on the eagles....should get nearly 20's for that game......at least i hope so :D
Yes a rather disgusting effort on behalf of our west coast mobs  ... both of them downed in one fell swoop!
But then down usually means they get their heckles up and as they have another round to get it right next weekend will prove interesting to say the least
The Swans played the Eagles out of the park... better all round the ground on the day... seems to be pretty closely matched those two teams... as for the Dockers? well the less said the better about that wee effort the better :o
But!! Were still in with a chance... the potential for a double west coast final is still there if only dimly... more likely to be a Swans Eagles matchup again this year hopefully without the same result as last year
I've got Magpies yodeling ouside my back door right now, but I think its after losing and drowning their sorrows yesterday. If they think I'm cleaning it up...
You two are not alone. My mother's family is Footscray born and bred! So for the aerial ping pong we all supported the Bulldogs!Quote:

Not to worry, Pies were just giving the youngsters a look at a final anyway. All part of the master plan. As long as everyone continues to hate us due to fear of us winning yet another Grand Final, we remain strong. Carn the Pies!!!!
So much for the Weagles though? Thought they were the superteam?
Don't think there is a super team this year. I think any of the top 4 are real chances for the flag.Quote:

We only hate Collingwood because of the supporters.Quote:

Exactly my point:p :D :D
Hope the doggies do go on with it, pity they have had so many injusies this year, would have easily romped home if not. Best team this year on paper anyway, hope they have another good one next year. Be good to beat them in the Grand Final. Nice to have an all Victorian finish.:D
(interstaters insert your comments here.........................):p
No way, Sydney can't beat WC. Surely no way.
:D
Notice the black armbands on the Pies arms?
In memory of one of their supporters, a guy by the name of Brock......
A team from a working class area that no-one likes? Mmmmmmmmmm. Maybe I've found my AFL team. http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon12.gif
Collingwood has the highest supporter base of any Victorian Club. Most of them are related.Quote:

You should support the Kangaroos. They have the least number of members and are going to play a few games a year on the Gold Coast.
Or you could support a great working class club in the Western Bulldogs.
Remember the sort of person who supports Collingwood are like Gumby, Danp and Bennylaird. I certainly wouldn't want to be associating in the same club as those three. :)
You may have something there (I'm very gullible and easilly persuaded, by the way). SWMBO is a Collingwood supporter and has a LOT of relatives in Melbourne. Moreover, when she catches glimpses of the crowd during televised Collingwood games, she can name most of them. This has always disturbed me.
The phenomenon is Collingwood, more than a footy team.
Everyside has their ferals, ones I dislike are those that bag their own teams when all is not well.
Nah, they were ok at Vic Park:rolleyes: Apart from the constant urge to urinate in cups and throw it all over the opposition players as they entered and exited the race. Lovley supporters;)
NEWSFLASH- Police are looking for 2 Girls and 3 Blokes aged between 12 and 20 who assulted 3 innocent (female) food van workers at the G on Sunday.
More lovley Pie supporters.
Holland 5 weeks ... lol
Fair go this thread started off lamenting 2 great Aussies and footy.:( Without mentioning Colin Teale one of Aus greatest authors and very quickly gets highjacked over footy. :p oh sigh what a pathetic world it is that we live in
tonto
Collingwood is a club doomed never to win a Grand Final. Have to grin over the "master plan" of blooding youngsters. The only plan at Collingwood is to try and spin todays events so they don't look bad in tomorrows news.
Back to the topic it's no tradgedy when Collinwood lose. Brock and Irwin were. Colin Thiele in particular is a very sad loss. A great Author who gave many of us a love of reading and what's more he told Australian Stories about Australian kids, long before the chattering set started bleating about it. Thiele I suppose was a quieter man who let his work speak for him. Never saw him in the media. Might have been an interview with him sometime but that's all. He did at least live to quiet a decent age, so that is different to Irwin in particular but none the less I hope that all can raise a glass to Colin Thiele as a great Australian who contributed something to our nation.
Studley
And apart from Brockie, Irwin and Colin Thiele, their also was Don Lunn who was the 'Daddio of the radio' here in Melbourne. Another great Aussie gone:(
