I used to be a Scotch drinker. None of it was a real 'Wow that is good'. In February one year I had to fly beck to the Washington DC (Ya know, the center of the universe) area. Due to the meeting schedule, airline schedules and saving money by staying over a Saturday night, I flew on Friday. A friend volunteered me to help winterize his sail boat on the Chesapeake Bay.
The first problem that we attacked was the liquor cabinet. He did not have any Scotch so he suggested Jameson. What we did after the liquor cabinet I don't remember. We did decide to sleep aboard rather than drive back to Northern Virginia. LOL! I have been drinking Jameson ever since.

When my Brother passed away, he asked if I'd pour a bottle of Glen Fiditch over his coffin, I asked "Do you mind if I filter it through my kidneys first?":D
Before he passed away I hope :D
Actually he was cremated, took them 3 days to get the fire under control.
I used to be a purist drinking my single malts, but having read the claims that adding water gradually unlocks a range of flavours I have become more open minded.
Working through a bottle of plomari ouzo atm and I absolutely believe it is nicer with water and ice...
A couple more and I'll be seeing elephants...
