Boy we are missing Australia so much. It is like in the middle of nowhere. We can’t do anything without a car and a phone here. The girls wanted to go home so much. I am feeling the pressure too because I have a job to complete here. :(

I once heard a theory that three days was sufficient time to see all the major sights in any city (some, like St. Louis, presumably less). Beyond that, you are no longer a tourist and you have to stay at least 18 months to really get to know the place as home: rent a flat/house, buy car, put kids in school, get to know locals, learn the language, etc. etc. There is a huge no-man's land in-between where you've seen all the sights, and just can't be bothered going out any more...Quote:

Scott, incorrect grammar. There should be the word "am" in there and miss should begin with a capital when it is used as a salutation.

I did that OS travel for work thing for quite a few years, and found 6days was OK, once the magic 7 came it was just awful....
I used to tell all the budding travellers in the office to keep it to two trips in their career.
The first one is fantastic, the second even better, then every one after that just keeps getting worse! :(
I'll bet you're glad you don't live in Queensland though, 'cause if you miss Sydney after a week, you'd be missing home about 10 minutes after the seatbelt light went on if you lived here.

So I got the LV smooth plane, LV LA block plane, med shoulder plane and some goodies. Yeah I was going to make my own blast gates but these ones look very good. So why not?
The LV planes are very well made, well designed and I am very happy with them. Cant wait. :)
