I tend to favour doova-lacky, although I prefer the Latin duvum lackii
I ticked thing-a-me-bob, although I think it should be thing-a-me-jig.
But maybe that's just me.
you coudl also have the option 'you know, the [make funny gestures with hands here]'.

generally when looking for these things there will be references to that small chinese gentleman who lives in the back of the clothes dryer and knocks off all your right socks. Sometimes the small chinese gentleman is falsley accused of many crimes:o .

SWMBO had that problem thismorning "have you seen my whatsit" me 'whats a whatsit?' her 'you know, my handbag' me 'in the kitchen'.
Picks up handbag, 'have you seen the whatsit' me 'you're holding it' she 'no, the other whatsit' me 'mutter mutter' she 'whats wrong with you making silly noises?'

Thing-a-me-jig also, but it wasn't an option so like a couple of others I voted for thing-a me-bob.

Went to book my car in for some parts to be replaced yesterday and do you think I could remember the whatcha-me-callit that goes around the water pump? I ended up after about 15 seconds of my brain going dead and calling it a rubber band. :confused:
Felt like a real goose, I know my way around cars a fair bit but couldn't think of the correct word, fanbelt.
